Generic Drug: Salbutamol + Theophylline

Indication: Asthma, Emphysema & Chronic Bronchitis

Contraindication: Hypersensitivity to any of the component. It is also contraindicated to the patients with active peptic ulcer disease.

Dosage & Administration: Available as Airomol Tablets (AIROMOL TAB); Airomol Liquid (AIROMOL LIQD); and Airomol P-Liquid (AIROMOL P-LIQD).

Special Precautions: Special precautions are necessary for patients suffering from hepatic impairment, cardiac abnormalities, hypertension, arrhythmias, active peptic disease, pregnancy, lactation, pulmonary oedema, hyperthyroidism, diabetes mellitus, high fever, convulsive disorders, and for patients on antidepressants, neonates and infants.

Side Effects / Undesired effects / Adverse drug reactions: Seizures, tremor, palpitation, hypocalcaemia, muscle cramps, headache, anxiety, irritability, anorexia, nausea, insomnia, rarely rash and angio-edema. Arrhythmias with premature ventricular contractions may be fatal.
